Cough cough, sniff sniff...

We're all sick. Just summer colds, but Chris and I are learning just how tough it is to care for a sick toddler when we are sick ourselves. The little flower was up through the night whimpering, and then wailing. She wouldn't drink, she felt clammy, nothing I did made her comfortable. Finally, I put her in bed with us (waking up Chris in the process) and turned on the television. She doesn't usually show much interest in television, but something about it worked for her last night. It put her into a trance and she finally calmed down, took a drink, and went back to sleep. I'm hoping tonight is a better night for all of us, we seem to have turned the corner. The ability to breathe through one's nose should never be taken for granted.

Awww, hope you all feel better soon. There's nothing worse than a sick baby with 2 sick parents (except maybe 2 sick babies with 2 sick parents---LOL!). We usually end up bringing one of the sickies to bed w/us, just remember 3 nights in a row is the magic number for making it a habit in their baby brains(somehow more than 2 nights in your bed EQUALS I sleep w/ mommy & daddy now---and it's a little bit of a nightmare to get them back on track).

I always try my best to stay healthy (haha), and DrillSgt. always manages to get sick. I just figure I'm going to end up taking care of everyone anyway, why even bother until someone can take care of me--LOL!!

Oh, I'm so sorry. Must be rough. I'm not looking forward to the whole family being sick.
